WEEKEND CAMPS
Dates for weekend camps in 2026 at Milton Keynes Equestrian Centre:
10-12 April Junior Camp, minimum age 12.
8-10 May, adults only.
11-13 September, adults only.
Fancy just getting away from it all and spending some quality time with your horse?
Want to receive top quality tuition based at fantastic facilities for both horse & rider?
Want to make some friends and have fun?
Well perhaps you should come along to our horse camps!
Our excellent coaches will train you. You will be well fed. You will have time to relax & chat, meet up with old friends or make some new ones. All 2026 camps will start on Friday afternoon and run until Sunday lunchtime. Each weekend camp includes four lessons in small groups.
Camp is aimed at riders who want to develop their riding skills, both on the flat and over fences, and who wish to make the most of the superb facilities at MKEC and our excellent trainer, Jane Hussell.
MKEC has a large sand arena, grass arenas, a mini cross country area in a small enclosed field, with jumps from 15-60cm, and the main cross country course in around 80 acres, and including jumps 60-110cm, water, ditches, banks and steps.
Programme for the weekend:
Arrive Friday afternoon, pick a stable, settle your horse and meet your fellow campers with a cuppa. Your first lesson will be on Friday afternoon. Saturday will include 2 lessons and on Sunday morning you will have your final lesson and lunch, before you pack up, muck out your stable, poo pick the field, and head home.
Junior camp - Juniors must be accompanied by an adult, so please book either an additional full priced camper space if the adult also wishes to bring a horse and have lessons, or book an accompanying adult space (Class 4) if they do not want to ride. The accompanying adult cost is to cover the camping fee and all your meals.
