MKRC 2024 Summer Dressage League
Horse Harmony are generously sponsoring our summer dressage league. Horse Harmony is a local company who supply high quality, innovative products at reasonable prices.
Entries are now open for our dressage shows, with tests from Intro to Medium. Classes are open to members & non-members, although only members can earn points in our dressage league.
The September show will include long arena tests.
Novice Championships 2024
MKRC riders are having amazing success at 2024 championships. All 3 riders who went to the Novice Championships at Arena UK in April were placed. Charlotte won Intro B with her lovely young pony, Angus. Heidi Chilvers was 2nd in the 80cm showjumping championship with her horse Theo, and Hattie was 6th in Prelim 13 with Daisy. We are super proud of you all.
Super results at the Intro Dressage & Dressage to Music Championships 2024
Senior and Junior members from Milton Keynes Riding Club competed at the Championships at Bury Farm in March, with several placings.
Well done to Debbie Baker who was 2nd in the Dressage to Music Elementary and Holly Watson who was 2nd in Intro B.
Amazing Results from January 2024 qualifiers with 11 members invited to the Intro and Dressage to Music Championships. MKRC are thrilled with these results and have paid the championship entry fees for our members.
Emily K won the Junior Novice Dressage to Music qualifier.
Trudy Johnson won the Elementary Dressage to Music qualifier.
Charlotte W won the Junior Intro A Dressage qualifier.
Harriet M won the Junior Prelim 1 Dressage qualifier.
Lillianna T won the Junior Prelim 2 Dressage qualifier.

We had a great day out on 14th September, watching our team of Sarah, Sophie, Sue & Debbie compete in the 90cm Eventer Challenge at Blenheim. They did so well, but not placed this time. It was a very complicated course, with lots of twists & turns. It was great to see lots of MKRC members there to support the team too.

About MKRC
Milton Keynes Riding Club (MKRC) are based in Buckinghamshire and are affiliated to the BHS British Riding Clubs. Clubs that are affiliated to the BHS are split into 23 areas within the UK. We are part of Area 7 and as a member you will have access to local and national competitions including Area Qualifiers and Championships.
MKRC was founded in June 2015 by a group of passionate liveries at MK Equestrian Centre (MKEC), and has gone from strength to strength ever since. We welcome riders of all levels from novice to advanced and our goal is to provide a spectrum of equine activites, learning, friendship and fun for local riders of all ages and abilities. We offer training in a range of disciplines, from dressage and jumping to le trec and spookbusting. We run an annual camp at Milton Keynes Equestrian Centre - a great opportunity to get away with your horse and have fun with like-minded people. We also run our own summer evening dressage series, open to all levels, and friendly show jumping competitions - so there's something for everyone! If there is something you want that is not currently offered, do let us know.

EHV - We don't currently need proof of vaccination or EHV status to attend our club events. However, we do need to see proof of influenza vaccination for all entries to BRC qualifiers, and we do ask that everyone follows good biosecurity practice when at any of our events (keeping horses separate, not sharing tack & equipment etc)
