BRC have introduced a new 40,50,60cm Showjumping competition, with qualification taking place between April & 18th August, and the finals taking place at Bury Farm on 6th September 2025. Dates of qualifying shows at MKEC : 18May, 21June, 23August. You need 2 clear rounds to qualify for the final. Contact us for more info.
HORSE TRIALS qualifier is at Ely on 15th June. We have competitors entered at all heights and have space in our 70cm team and our 80cm team. Enter here.
Summer dressage league at MKEC, generously sponsored by My Healthy Pet. Entries are open to everyone, but only MKRC members will gain league points. Small classes from Intro to Medium, with long arena tests available in September. 12 May, 17 June, 17 July, 21 Aug, 18 Sept. 4pm start.
The May show was cancelled due to insufficient entries.

In December, 12 of our members were invited to the BRC dressage championships in April at Arena UK. What a brilliant Christmas present. We have continued to have placings and championship qualifications at many qualifiers this year, from show jumping, horse trials, dressage and Dressage to Music, plus the combined events.
The AGM was on 18th October at MKEC, with prize giving for the dressage league, very generously sponsored by Horse Harmony. We also had a buffet & quiz. It was great to see you.
MKRC 2024 Summer Dressage League
Horse Harmony generously sponsored our summer dressage league which ran May to Sept with tests from Intro to Medium. Horse Harmony is a local company who supply high quality, innovative products at reasonable prices.
Princethorpe 2DE 2024
Congratulations to MKRC member Tara Farrell who won the 90cm short format 2DE in May.
Novice Championships 2024
MKRC riders are having amazing success at 2024 championships. All 3 riders who went to the Novice Championships at Arena UK in April were placed. Charlotte won the Intro with her lovely young pony, Angus. Heidi Chilvers was 2nd in the 80cm showjumping championship with her horse Theo, and Hattie was 6th in Prelim with Daisy. We are super proud of you all.
CAMP 2024
We had 2 camps in 2024, in May and September, open to members & non-members, at Milton Keynes Equestrian Centre. These were very popular and lots of fun, with fabulous instruction from Jane Hussell, delicious meals cooked by Nicole & Tom, and of course time to spend with our much loved horses.

Blenheim Eventer Challange 2023
We had a great day out on 14th September, watching our team of Sarah, Sophie, Sue & Debbie compete in the 90cm Eventer Challenge at Blenheim. They did so well, but not placed this time. It was a very complicated course, with lots of twists & turns. It was great to see lots of MKRC members there to support the team too.
About MKRC
Milton Keynes Riding Club (MKRC) are based in Buckinghamshire and are affiliated to the BHS British Riding Clubs. Clubs that are affiliated to the BHS are split into 23 areas within the UK. We are part of Area 7 and as a member you will have access to local and national competitions including Area Qualifiers and Championships.
MKRC was founded in June 2015 by a group of passionate liveries at MK Equestrian Centre (MKEC), and has gone from strength to strength ever since. We welcome riders of all levels from novice to advanced and our goal is to provide a spectrum of equine activites, learning, friendship and fun for local riders of all ages and abilities. We offer training in a range of disciplines, from dressage and jumping to le trec and spookbusting. We run an annual camp at Milton Keynes Equestrian Centre - a great opportunity to get away with your horse and have fun with like-minded people. We also run our own summer evening dressage series, open to all levels, and friendly show jumping competitions - so there's something for everyone! EHV - We don't currently need proof of vaccination or EHV status to attend our club events. However, we do need to see proof of influenza vaccination for all entries to BRC qualifiers, and we do ask that everyone follows good biosecurity practice when at any of our events (keeping horses separate, not sharing tack & equipment etc)
